Max Hagen, Esq

Meet the founder and Senior Partner, Max M. Hagen, who has been practicing law for more than 44 years. While handling mainly commercial and residential real estate and transactional work, the senior Mr. Hagen provides clients with the comfort of his wisdom and vast experience.

After attending undergraduate school at the University of Florida, Mr. Hagen finished his education at the University of Miami (Fla.) with his juris doctor. Shortly thereafter, Max was elected as President of the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Bar Association.
Among his accomplishments, Mr. Hagen is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Florida and the state courts of Tennessee. In addition, he is duly admitted and qualified to appear before the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

In connection with handling real estate matters, Max is an active member with Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund in order to act as a title and closing agent on such transactions.

Kevin L. Hagen, Esq

Practicing as the firms Managing Partner, Kevin Hagen joined the firm in 1995 and has been practicing law for more than 12 years with his father. Kevin Hagen’s primary focus is protecting homeowner rights and he is an accomplished litigator handling contract, collection, landlord/tenant, and consumer fraud related cases. In addition, he provides legal assistance in connection with bankruptcy and estate planning issues. He also assists with the commercial and residential real estate transactional work relating to corporate and business relations.

After graduating with honors from the University of Florida, Mr. Hagen attended law school at Nova Southeastern University. After his admission to the Florida Bar, Mr. Hagen served on several bar committees including Law School Liaison and Consumer Protection Law.

Among his legal certifications, Mr. Hagen is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

For some time, Kevin has also been a member of the American Bar Association, National Consumer Law Center, the Broward County Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Advocates.

Kevin’s past and present community service includes volunteer services for the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, board membership of the American Cancer Society and extensive pro bono services through Miami-Dade County's Put Something Back program.

Other business certifications include licensure with the National Association of Securities Dealers as a registered representative and uniform securities agent; Florida Department of Insurance; Florida Real Estate Commission and the Florida Supreme Court as a certified circuit mediator.

Jason Weaver, Esq.

Whether fighting in court for the rights of injured individuals, or fighting against banks trying to illegally remove people from their homes, Mr. Weaver’s primary experience has been litigating cases in court to protect the rights of individuals. He has extensive experience litigating in the areas of real estate litigation, foreclosure defense, lease-purchase disputes, real estate contract and deposit disputes, land sales, landlord-tenant. He is an avid consumer advocate, and a former member of the Florida Bar Consumer Law Committee.

He is trained in the most cutting edge foreclosure legal theories, mortgage fraud defenses, and is an aggressive defender of homeowner's (and consumer's) rights. Many of his materials and legal theories are used by other attorneys and he is regularly engaged to train inexperienced attorneys in the foreclosure defense arena and handle court matters for other local attorneys.

A South Florida Native, after completing his undergraduate work at Florida Atlantic University, Mr. Weaver graduated cum laude from Nova Southeastern University law school, where he also served on the law review and was an Order of the Coif recipient for excellence in trial advocacy. As a law student, Mr. Weaver represented the homeless in disability advocacy hearings, having been awarded a Florida Bar Foundation Fellowship.

Mr. Weaver has also taught paralegals at Florida Metropolitan University and Keiser College, and has been a featured Lecturer at Half Moon Seminar's Paralegal Seminars "Basic Civil Litigation" in November 2004 and "Advanced Civil Litigation" in March 2007.

Mr. Weaver is active in public service, as a board member for the Florida Youth Orchestra and the former Lillian Mae Janosik Foundation for Nursing Home Abuse Awareness.
